Hi, I’m Janice! (Jahneice)

I am a Mother(to be in July 2022), Daughter, Sister, Wife and friend. I reside on Ohlone Land and desire the strength to make my ancestors proud. I became a Birth worker to honor the great transition of life. I see birthing people and their families grow and create a safe and respectful space. I received my Postpartum training through Natural Resources in San Francisco, and birth training through Carriage House Birth. I am a daughter of immigrants and I am very proud of my Mexican roots and use that to guide me through my work. I am committed to learning and being open to new experiences. I truly believe birth is sacred, and that most importantly it is your journey and your ceremony. I am here to help in a nonjudgmental, gentle, loving way. I am committed to help you on this journey in any way that I can. Whether that is massaging you, laughing or just letting you know how great you are doing. I like to have boundaries set up before such intimate moments to honor your space, partner and body.

I have always been intrigued by birth and growing families. I saw my mom give birth to my sister as a teen and fell in love with the whole thing. I became a nanny, tutor kiddos from small to not as small, facilitate the admin support for patients at Whole Family MD and love to help out in many different ways in many different places. I have created great lifelong relationships through my journey leading me to birth work and continue to make great friends.

When i’m not working, i’m catching up on some TV, reading a book, dancing in our living room and walking long 10 mile city hikes exploring with my husband.

I am currently serving the San Francisco Area as a Full Spectrum Doula offering labor and birth companionship as well as postpartum.
