What is a Doula/Birth worker?
Official definition: a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to a mother before, during and shortly after childbirth to help her achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.” -DOONA
Why did I become a Doula?
Since the birth of my sister I found birth to be fascinating. I was my mothers Doula before knowing what A doula was! I know how important it is to have someone empower your birth and give you the ability to choose. I want to make sure birth and Postpartum are as wonderful as they should be, and to help you get some sleep.
Why Should I hire you?
I can’t really give you a perfect answer as everyone is different. I am also not the best at talking about myself. I am a loving and responsible person who finds light in rough times. I also know how important it is to speak up. I am also a great friend and would be a great friend to your family. I have also been told I give great massages! We can chat more about this in a meet and greet!
Are Doula’s expensive?
They can be, but don’t have to me! I strongly believe Birth work should be accessible to all. My rates vary depending on your wants and needs, If you feel you can’t afford the service, but want me to work with you. I offer sliding scale and even no cost depending on your situation.
